First, we will use existing cohorts to investigate the link between dietary fiber intakes, gut microbial signature (composition and metabolites) and key gut biological functions (including gut barrier function). The related tasks are described in WP2, 4 and 5.
The second objective will be to develop innovative approaches to evaluate the health interest of insoluble dietary fiber, prone to interact with the gut microbiota (WP3, 4 and 5). We aim at refining the concept of dietary fibers based on novel biological effects that can occur upon gut microbiota-nutrients interaction.
Deliverables, milestones and some risks with mitigation measure are given at the end of each WP.
